These two pictures struck me. Both from the Guardian newspaper. The top, of a little hostage child being carried through the remains of the only world that he would have known until now. The bottom, of a politician who lost an eye, clearly sustained a haemorrhage on the eyeball of the remaining eye, and is still persevering.
It's all well and good to want a regime changed, but correct me if I'm wrong. The would-be government of a nation is supposed to serve its people, not terrify them for a decade.
