OK, I am now 34-weeks pregnant.
Am slowly getting things together for my delivery bag. This is basically a lump of stuff that I and Bean are going to use for the 2-3 days that we're in hospital.
Kinda exciting.
Just realised that I have no PJs whatsoever - am so used to sleeping in oversized tees and sports shorts! Most sites - including motherhood fora - recommend a front-buttoning pair of PJs so that the new mother can remain decent, and yet can breastfeed easily when required. I'm thinking I don't really have to sort this out though, because knowing hospitals, they have plenty of PJs of their own, which they will change me into anyway.
I would rather just pack a set of clean clothes for discharge. So that I can hop into the car with little Bean in comfort :) I will also apparently need a stash of disposable underthings and pads etc. for personal hygiene. Oh, and whatever specific toiletries that I am used to, of course. One particularly chic website recommended a full travel makeup kit, so that I still look great on camera after all that heaving and swearing and pain!!!
I'm waiting on some blood test results. If all goes well, I'll be heading to Maternity Exchange/M&S/some cool online sites next weekend to pickup some nursing lingerie for the bag. This motherhood thing is like a different planet. I've never given breast pads a thought before this. Amongst other things.
Some lists are very thoughtful albeit amusing. Like "stopwatch, to time your contractions" and "snacks for the new father to keep up his energy for the vigil ahead". Made me laugh.
My pelvic ring is probably starting to stretch out a little bit because walking at my usual Gear 6 speed is now a little, uh, waddly and achey. And Bean is fast running out of room in here. I'm getting kicked in the ribs a lot more now, and every turn is like a little washing machine on "spin" cycle.
Going in for another scan on Monday. To check on how much room I have left.....and how much bigger Bean's head is getting. Hubby thinks that at this rate of growth, Bean will make an early appearance. Mom and Dad are hoping the same (by one or two weeks anyway) so that my little bro can catch the new arrival. He flies in from UK early July for three short weeks only.
It's been a big unknown all the way from conception to now, and the journey continues. Advice is plentiful and good, but the actual experience is, of course, different for everyone. And.....unique. Part of me is anticipating getting my body back up to speed. It WOULD be nice to be able to touch my toes upfront again instead of bending akimbo to do so.
I would be thankful to you if you could give some more information . Blog gave us useful information for every women to follow. I really appreciate you.
It would be great if you go through medicine for more clarifications.
